The Alaskan Klee Kai and AKC-FSS

At this time, the only acceptable registry recognized by AKC-FSS
for the Alaskan Klee Kai is the United Kennel Club (UKC).
Please be sure your dog is FULLY registered with the UKC, as well as being entered into
the AKC-FSS records, since the breed is not yet fully recognized with the AKC.
These FSS registration papers do not qualify as full AKC registration papers,
and are not accepted by other registries as such.

Recording your dogs with the AKC Foundtion Stock Service will help the Club (AKKCOA) and
the breed to move the breed forward to its goal of achieving full AKC recognition,
registration, and full participation qualification.

The Alaskan Klee Kai is currently a Foundation Stock Service breed and is working to
become part of the AKC Non-Sporting Group.
Registered AKK are permitted to compete in all companion events
(Agility, Obedience, Rally, and Tracking).
They are NOT yet permitted to compete in championship conformation
shows, however they can compete in open shows that are essentially
conformation matches for the AKC-FSS breeds.

If your Alaskan Klee Kai is currently registered with the AKC as an All American "mixed breed" through the Canine Partners Program, once the dog is registered with FSS, you can transfer their existing titles over to the FSS registration as an Alaskan Klee Kai. Please contact AKC-FSS to transfer any existing titles.
AKK AKC-FSS DOG AND LITTER REGISTRATION

Use these applications to apply to record a dog or litter in the AKC FSS whose sire or dam is not recorded in the AKC-FSS. Detailed eligibility requirements, submission requirements, and instrictions are on page 3 of the dog form and page 2 of the litter form. Please use black ink and capital letters to fill in the boxes. Information you omit or print outside of the boxes will delay processing. The dog information must match the UKC pedigree information (ie. you cannot change the dog's data such as name).
Do not include any titles before or after the name, such as 'PR' or 'CH', 'SPOT', etc
on the application. Recording is not guaranteed.

FSS® Recording and Certificates
When a dog is recorded in the Foundation Stock Service®, it is issued a numbered
FSS® Certificate. This certificate indicates that the dog is the product of a purebred
sire and dam of the same breed. In some cases, a breeder will determine that a dog should be recorded with “limited” status. A limited FSS® Certificate indicates
that no offspring of the dog is eligible to be recorded in the FSS®.
